A short in an electrical panel is to blame for a fire in an Endicott home early Friday morning.
Fire broke out at about 3:50 am at 512 Oak Hill Ave. The two people inside were able to get out safely thanks to smoke detectors that went off. Firefighters rescued their cat. The short in the panel burned and ended up catching wooden floor joists on fire. Water and fire damage were contained to the basement area. However, smoke did fill the house.
